Meet the Gen Z Campaigners Fighting for Environmental Justice

‘My name is Greta Thunberg. I want you to panic.’ When the world’s most famous activist said words to this effect to leaders at the United Nations and the European Parliament in 2019, she was 16. Climate justice has increasingly grabbed headlines since, and many of those driving positive action to protect the environment are still at school. Enthusiasm, determination and respect run through their impassioned messages, which are translating into real results. Young advocates across the continents have become a collective force in the fight for environmental justice.
